The Buying guide for the best 55-Inch TV under 600 Dollars:

It is essential to know the specifications and requirements before spending a lot of money on the product. With complete knowledge of the product, it is very beneficial to get the best device available.

A 55-inch TV should look beautiful in your home and have some high-quality features worth the money. In addition to entertainment, it must be comfortable while watching TV.

Screen size

“Bigger is better,” as you’ve undoubtedly heard. As a result, keep this word in mind while selecting the ideal Television screen size. After all, everyone loves watching films and video games on a large screen. Nevertheless, the observing range is another thing to bear in mind about display size. You would usually be apart from the television.

Therefore, buying a huge TV for a small bedroom or lounge is unwise. We recommend that you double the distance to the TV. Therefore, if you plan a 55-inch TV, the distance between the TV and your bed or sofa should be 100 inches. However, with a 4K Ultra HDTV, you can sit a little closer.

Rate of refreshing

No one likes blurry and obscure images while watching a movie. Refresh rates ensure smoothness in fast-paced sports scenes, action movies, and games. The higher the refresh rate, the sharper the image. Most are expressed in Hertz, and a reasonable TV refresh rate is 120Hz, so check before buying.

If you want a TV that can switch displays in seconds, we suggest going with a 60Hz refresh rate. The general basic rules are more entertaining since they increase speed and TV efficiency. There are, however, several more recent alternatives with pretty decent refresh rates in the 100-130Hz band, which assist remove inputting lag and shutter.

Resolution of screen

Today, 4K resolution is the industry standard for television. Therefore, we recommend using a 4K resolution TV to bring your videos and games to life. However, it is not possible to get 4K content at this time.

On the other hand, Full HD TVs aren’t as bad as 4K resolution TVs and are reasonably priced. An excellent resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels guarantees accurate color and a clear display experience.

These devices deliver the best possible color reproduction, saturation, and absolute saturation from every viewpoint. If you want to save a little money, you may always go with 8K resolution for a highly stunning visual environment. This resolution is noted for its extreme efficiency and incredible color effectiveness, but the content must be compromised.

Contrast ratio

It is yet another essential thing to consider when purchasing a television. A high contrast ratio indicates that the TV will have a broader range of brightness levels. Furthermore, the contrast ratio produces realistic shadows and more natural colors.

A method for extending the parallax between the purest white and the darkest black in a photograph is a high dynamic range. HDR displays, in general, are far more realistic than standard visuals.

In summary, HDR television provides superior visual quality. HDR10 is the industry standard for home televisions. This is an excellent platform.

HDMI and input

Another essential thing to remember is the number of posts. Multiple ports allow you to connect multiple devices at the same time. We recommend that you have at least three HDMI ports to connect three streaming devices such as game consoles, PCs, and Bluray players at the same time. Other ports include USB, Ethernet port, composite input, component input, RF input, optical I / O port, etc.

HDMI connection, USB wireless routers, audio ports, wire antennas, Network equipment, and other essential ports should all be found. Check out your WiFi and Bluetooth options and any other connections.

By connecting through Bluetooth or WiFi, you may efficiently operate a variety of tasks from your mobile phone. There are several system components on TVs, and colored connectors on the back or sides of panels are frequent.

HDR

HDR or high dynamic range is another crucial thing to watch on your TV. This is considered a new feature of 4K TV. This feature aims to improve image quality by providing more realistic colors.

In addition, this feature helps to provide additional colors. It also provides better contrast colors by making black deeper and white brighter in all movie scenes. Therefore, look for this feature before buying a TV. This improves the contrast and brightness levels.

For a more authentic, accurate, and engaging experience, HDR on TV adds contrast to existing pixels and extends contrast and color. Colors stay true to the design of your TV with HDR. Televisions cannot accurately reproduce some colors without HDR. What HDR on TV offers is genuinely great, and it’s worth looking into more.

Curvy screen or flat one

If you want a cinematic experience, a curved TV screen is the best choice. They offer extra depth and a more beautiful view from all angles, which is also great for your eyes.

But if you want to mount your TV on the wall, it’s not easy. However, you can get a better, wider viewing angle with a flat-screen TV. In addition, it is very suitable for assembly and saves a lot of space compared to curved TVs.

Smart TV or a digital one

Now that the digital world is overgrowing, it’s better to have a smart TV. However, before you buy a smart TV, it’s essential to identify the innovative features and possibilities it offers.

Ensure you have an app store, a built-in browser, and pre-installed apps that can stream thousands of your favorite TV shows, movies, and video songs. If you have a limited budget and can’t afford a smart TV, don’t worry. You can turn your TV into a smart TV by purchasing a device. In addition, this device is very cheap.

Processor

Every developer has a different design style. But then, on the other hand, more extensive panels with 4K and 8K resolutions will have smaller borders, leaner layouts, and brighter alternatives. When not used, especially waterdrop notch TVs and TVs look photograph framing.

A processor is installed within every tv that analyzes data via the cable box, satellite systems antenna, internet, or the other supply for displaying on the screen. The processing power of televisions tends to increase. It can lead to a more fluid image, speedier broadcasting content uploads, and lower latency.

Caixun 55-inch 4K TV
Caixun 55-inch 4K TV

Reasons to Buy

  • For its size, it is reasonably priced.
  • For the price, it’s a good image.

Reasons to Avoid

  • Processing is mediocre, with poor motion adjustment.
  • The ports on the back panel are difficult to access.

The Caixin EC55S features a 60Hz display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 and an array backlight, but without local dimming. Refresh rate and backlight details are based on test results and display.

Caixin has not posted these specifications on its website and has not answered the fact check questions by the publication deadline. It has three HDMI 2.0 ports, an optical digital audio output, a 3.5mm analog audio output, A / V audio input, Ethernet, coaxial, and two USB ports. It has Bluetooth, but it’s not low latency and is especially suitable for listening to movies.

The EC55S proved to be worth seeing in all materials, but what surprised me right out of the box was the slightly distorted palette that I recently saw on another budget. Was. It wasn’t the icy cold bluish palette that plagued the industry when LED backlights first hit the market, but red leans towards orange, and green leans towards bright lime green.

In addition, some artifacts are found with this temporary technique because there is no local dimming, and the brightness is relatively stable. Black isn’t great, but it’s certainly available.

Screen compliance was good, motion processing was acceptable on the 60Hz panel, and, as mentioned earlier, the processing artifacts were minimal. This affordable Android TV offers excellent image quality for the price, but it’s certainly not the right choice for video enthusiasts. EC55S is relatively easy to operate during installation.

The port on the back of the device is so profoundly recessed that I had difficulty plugging in the cable, which is also good. They are essentially blind, and the lack of a label exacerbates the problem of identifying the port, as you can see in the picture below. Pay attention to the cable connections before installing the TV in a confined space.

The LG UP8000 is below average for watching movies in HDR. Due to the low contrast ratio and no local dimming, black looks gray in the dark. In addition, because it can’t display a wide color gamut, the vibrant colors look dull and subdued, not bright enough to make the highlights stand out as the content creator intended.

On the other hand, it can remove judder from any source. It can’t display a wide color gamut and doesn’t get too bright, so the colors look dull and subdued, and the highlights are less noticeable than the content author intended. Due to the low contrast ratio and no local dimming, black looks gray in the dark.

Toshiba 55-inch 4K TV
Toshiba 55-inch 4K TV

Reasons to Buy

  • The contrast ratio is high.
  • Quick reaction time
  • Input latency is negligible.

Reasons to Avoid

  • SDR and HDR have low peak brightness.
  • Viewing angles are poor.
  • VRR is not supported.

The Toshiba Fire TV 2021 is a great 4k TV and has been appropriately upgraded over its predecessor, the Toshiba Fire TV 2020. Its high contrast ratio and excellent black uniformity make it suitable for viewing in dark rooms.

Experience with fast response time and slight input lag. Unfortunately, it is not ideal for expansive seating arrangements due to its narrow viewing angle, low peak brightness in SDR and HDR, and the inability to display a wide color gamut.

The color accuracy is also pretty poor, but on the plus side, the Fire TV platform is easy to use, offers a large number of streaming services, and built-in voice control works with other Amazon innovative home products. Toshiba Fire TV is okay overall.

It has a VA panel with a high contrast ratio and excellent black uniformity, but it is not bright, cannot display a wide color gamut, and has no local dimming, so it is suitable for watching movies in SDR or HDR. It isn’t very unusual.

Its excellent reflection treatment makes it suitable for watching sports and TV shows, but it is not bright enough to reduce glare. It’s okay for games because of its low input lag and fast response time, but it doesn’t have other gaming features such as variable refresh rate support.

Toshiba Fire TV is mediocre for watching movies in a dark room. It has a high contrast ratio and excellent black uniformity, but there is no local dimming, and the judder cannot be removed entirely. However, it scales low-resolution movies appropriately and is uninterrupted by low frame rate content.

The game is okay. Due to its high contrast ratio and excellent black uniformity, have low input delay, fast response time, and excellent darkroom performance. Unfortunately, refresh rates are limited to 60Hz and do not support advanced gaming features such as variable refresh rate technology.

Amazon 55-inch 4K Smart TV
Amazon 55-inch 4K Smart TV

Reasons to Buy

  • There are several Fire TV features.
  • Alexa voice control without your hands
  • The colors are well-balanced.
  • Reasonably priced

Reasons to Avoid

  • The color range and contrast are average.
  • There is no Apple AirPlay or Google Cast support.
  • Several game features

The Fire TV platform has been powering Amazon’s own media streamers and many third-party TVs for years, but until now, the company hasn’t built its TV. One of Amazon’s first Fire TV-equipped TVs isn’t yet a flagship, leaning towards the end of a budget-friendly spectrum, and its image quality reflects that.

But with all the powerful Fire TV features, including hands-free Alexa voice control, it’s an attractive option for new intelligent TVs that won’t break your bank.

The screen is surrounded by a nearly thin black border, an almost frameless appearance. It has a bezel only at the bottom, a gunmetal stripe in the center with the Fire TV logo, and a small shelf underneath it with a near-field microphone.

The TV can stand on two wide-spaced metal legs in a V-shape or can be wall-mounted. The power connector is on the left side of the back panel, and all other connectors are facing right. This includes 4 HDMI ports (1 eARC), USB 2.0 port, optical audio output, 3.5mm headphone jack, another 3.5mm port for the included IR emitter, an Ethernet port, and a cable/antenna connector. ..

When it comes to devising mirroring, Fire TV lags behind Google TV and Roku TV. You can mirror your computer screen via WiDi/Miracast, but there is no Apple Airplay or Google Cast to make mirroring your smartphone or computer easy and convenient.

On the plus side, it features Amazon’s voice assistant Alexa. Alexa is standard on all Fire TV media streamers and TVs and can be used by holding down the Alexa button on the remote control and speaking. However, this adds a range microphone so you can talk to your TV just like a smart speaker.

VIZIO 55-Inch Smart TV
VIZIO 55-Inch Smart TV

Reasons to Buy

  • Pricing is relatively cheap.
  • Gaming input latency is minimal.
  • Blooming is minimal.

Reasons to Avoid

  • Inconsistency on the screen
  • HDR brightness is disappointing.

The back of the V-Series has a composite video input, an antenna input, analog and optical audio outputs, and an Ethernet port. There are three HDMI inputs and one USB input on the digital side (and device side). Please note that these HDMI connectors are 2.0b and do not support most HDMI 2.1 features.

Initially, I didn’t expect this TV to support eARC because nothing was mentioned in the spec sheet, but the HDMI port does support eARC (more on that later), and so on. It is clearly labeled. V-Series will take some time. 10 minutes. Thankfully, it’s mostly automated, so you can search for more coffee and get the TV to do the job.

The V-Series ships with the image mode set to Vivid. This was the first to get the most accurate image, so we moved to Calibrated. With the calibrated image preset, the backlight is already maxed out at 100, but most other options are set around 50 and can be adjusted to your liking.

The TV has a full array of local dimming capabilities, but it’s not very advanced as it’s a reasonably limited system with only 12 zones. Advanced image settings indicate that backlight control is turned on, and local dimming control is enabled by default.

The only motion smoothing control available is movie mode. There is no other motion menu. Sure, the V-Series is a basic TV, but it would be nice to have at least some control over the motion settings.

After running some test patterns and switching between standard dynamic range (SDR) and high dynamic range (HDR), there was no significant difference between the two formats.

The V-Series supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, but the set isn’t bright enough to make a difference in image quality-according to Vizio. The screen is best at 400 knits. There is nothing special about the overall image quality.

The bright highlights tended to fade a little, and the colors looked aggressive. That’s an acceptable budget option, and the word “simple” also applies here.

SAMSUNG 55-Inch AU8000 Series TV
SAMSUNG 55-Inch AU8000 Series TV

Reasons to Buy

  • Black levels are excellent.
  • Design is appealing.
  • Smart and dependable platform

Reasons to Avoid

  • HDR isn’t bright enough.
  • There’s no local dimming.
  • juddering motion

The AU8000 offers a deep, uniform black level, attractive design, and an intelligent platform that is flexible and simple enough for those who are upgrading to a 4K smart TV for the first time.

Unfortunately, half-baked HDR doesn’t have enough brightness and colorfulness, and the panel doesn’t have dimming software, which significantly negatively impacts screen uniformity.

There indeed aren’t many mid-range TVs out of this price range entry right now, but some TVs aren’t much more expensive than the AU8000 and, to be honest, offer far more benefits. Price Performance and feature requirements.

The AU8000 has some contrast issues. We’ll cover this in more detail in the review, but it’s worth emphasizing the ability of the TV to darken at the most critical times. I measured black levels in the range 0.05 to 0.08, but the upper limit of that range occurred when the TV was the brightest in HDR.

It’s not as dark as a high-end LED TV with VA-style panels and can’t match the whole black level of an OLED TV, but in this respect, it’s better than most TVs in this price range. Half a year ago, you wouldn’t have seen a mid-range 4K TV that could achieve a black level of 0.05.

An excellent mid-range TV needs an intelligent self-sustaining platform, and the AU8000 checks those essential boxes. The TV’s Tizen-powered innovative platform will be familiar to anyone who has owned a Samsung TV for the past few years.

If you’re switching to a smart TV for the first time, the software is a great way to get started. Water flowing. Most of the streaming apps people expect, such as Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, and Disney +, are pre-installed or can be added from the app store. There are also some additional features to complete the experience, such as a web browser and the Samsung Health software suite support.

TCL 55-inch Class 4-Series 4K
TCL 55-inch Class 4-Series 4K

Reasons to Buy

  • Economical price.
  • The colors are quite true.
  • The Roku TV platform is packed with alot of features.

Reasons to Avoid

  • The panel is dim.
  • The color scheme isn’t especially broad.

As TCL’s more affordable 4K TV line, the 4 Series is thicker than the 6 Series. The TV’s flat, the shiny black plastic bezel is much broader than the more expensive siblings’ smoother gunmetal bezels, 0.5 inches on the sides, 0.4 inches on the top, and 0.8 inches on the bottom.

It’s not much thicker than the 6 Series, but it’s just over 3 inches in the lower half and significantly bulges from a curved 2-inch depth in the upper half. A small strip of textured black plastic on the bottom bezel, with a silver TCL and Roku TV logo under the center and right corner, provides some of a visual touch.

The TCL 4 Series can display 4K HDR (High Dynamic Range) content in HDR10. Dolby Vision or other HDR content types are not supported. The four series also do not have the six-series local dimming. With its dynamic contrast settings, you can only brighten or darken the entire screen at once.

With dynamic contrast disabled, the TV shows a disappointing black level of 0.12 cd / m2. When this feature is enabled, the black level drops to 0.04 cd / m2, and the effective contrast ratio is 6,101: 1. This is a powerful performance for a low-priced TV, with more than three times the contrast of the Toshiba Fire TV Edition.

All connections are on the left side of the back of the TV, except for the power cord connector on the right side. These include 3 HDMI ports, a USB port, an Ethernet port, an antenna/cable port, an optical and 3.5mm audio output, and a 3.5mm composite video input for use with the included 3,5mm to composite RCA dongle.

There is a small reset button above all ports. The only other control on the TV is a single multifunction power button behind the infrared receiver below the center of the lower bezel.
